OVERDRIVE

Team Overdrive is a First Tech Challenge robotics team based at Colegiul Național „Vasile Alecsandri" in Bacău, Romania. Founded in 2026, we are a team of nine students united by a passion for engineering, programming, and competitive robotics.

What sets us apart as a rookie team: three of our members bring real FTC competition experience from a previous season — our mechanical leads and our lead programmer have already designed, built, and competed with a robot at regional level. We are not starting from zero. We are starting from experience.

This season, Team Overdrive is focused on building our robot, securing resources, and competing in our first official FTC Romania tournaments. Beyond the field, we are committed to STEM outreach in our community and to creating a sustainable robotics program at our school — one backed by institutional support and a long-term European funding plan.
